One of the best places for club information is the notice boards in the Foyer: Events, Boats for sale, Crew available / Required , Launching List for Cruisers etc etc |

We also have an online discussion Forum You can get a feel of what’s current without actually being there during the week. It is also very easy to give some input to the running of the club |

The Club has upwards of 200 members who have a wide variety of interests, and there are activities for dinghy racers, day boaters, cruisers (motor or sailing). Racing for dinghies takes place from Easter until Christmas each year, with events on most Saturdays and Sundays and two Open Regattas in summer. Racing is organized on a handicap basis (with adjusted P.Y ratings for the slower boats to allow for our local conditions), but class fleets may be adopted as numbers and interest grow. Currently, Albacores, 5-0-5s, Darts, Fireballs, GP14s, Graduates, Lasers, Mirrors, Ospreys, Scorpions, Solos, Toppers and Toys are represented at Glasson. Many members, however, are quite content to potter and the Lune Estuary provides excellent family sailing, either downstream towards Sunderland Point and Morecambe Bay or by following the river as it meanders through open pastures towards Lancaster. |
